CANDYMAN?

We havenīt been anywhere and we sure ainīt stayed the same
Just playing day to day has been our only real aim

We stuck it out through thick and thin, every second minute, hour
Thereīs a lot to be said about water and
Bread for building staying power

You take the rough with the smooth, in time it will get better
But when it rains it always pours, you just canīt get much wetter

 Candyman, candyman

Talk about things you donīt understand,
Deserted us for some foreign land
Now you come sickly smile of the candyman

You canīt catch up with what you lost
Itīs useless if you try
You lost the faith but gained respect
Just donīt ask me why

You might have īem in a whirl
An orchestrated rapture
Paradise found and energy lost
And now you canīt recapture

 Candyman, candyman

Forget about them, what about us?
Why are they jumping back on the bus?
They faded out, we stayed put
Now the bootīs on the other foot

Knocking on doors of retrospect
Without the hazards you once faced
This monthīs flavour is sickly sweet
But leaves a bitter taste

You swapped all your self respect
For tuned fame
I though showing all your attitude
Was the name of the game
